BRING THE KIDS

The KinderShuttle makes cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and winter exploring possible with little kids along for the ride.

Warm, secure, and comfortable behind you, the KinderShuttle was purpose-built as a true child pulk — not adapted from a bike trailer.

SKIS LIKE A PULK SHOULD

Low, stable, and designed to follow your line.

The KinderShuttle glides naturally behind you without the wandering, fishtailing, or awkward pull of heavier converted trailers. Rigid chromoly tow poles provide control on turns, sidehills, and descents while preserving a natural skiing stride.

WARM + PROTECTED

Keep little passengers comfortable when the weather turns.

The enclosed canopy blocks wind and blowing snow, while the clear windscreen rolls away in milder weather. Upper ventilation maintains airflow and helps reduce condensation.

The padded seat and substantial XLPE hull also create separation from the cold snow underneath.

BUILT FOR REAL WINTER USE

The KinderShuttle isn't seasonal baby gear.

Its cross-linked polyethylene hull, chromoly steel structure, and durable canopy system are built for years of winter travel.

Many KinderShuttles stay in families for 10–15+ years and are passed from one child to the next.

“15 years, no failed hardware, no tears, no bad zippers.” ★★★★★
— Backcountry Ski Family

LOW + STABLE

Keeping the passenger low changes everything.

The KinderShuttle's low center of gravity makes it more stable on uneven trails and side slopes than higher-seated wheeled carriers adapted for skiing.

“Less likely to tip than the Chariot or Venice Cycle.”
— Rush Fam

MADE FOR GROWING FAMILIES

Infants

Integrated straps allow an appropriate infant car seat to be secured inside the sled.

Toddlers

A padded seat and five-point harness keep them secure while they ride, snack, read, or nap.

Bigger Kids

The five-point harness is rated up to 60 lb, giving the KinderShuttle years of useful life.

LIGHT ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY SKI

A child carrier isn't much fun if pulling it ruins the skiing.

The KinderShuttle is designed around efficient snow travel, keeping weight low and allowing the hull to glide rather than plow through the snow.

That makes it practical for groomed Nordic trails, snowshoe routes, rolling terrain, and uphill travel.

“I tried the Thule double Chariot, but it was SO heavy and wasn't great to skate with. The KinderShuttle is definitely the way to go.”

KINDERSHUTTLE VS. A CONVERTED BIKE TRAILER

KinderShuttle

• Low center of gravity
• Purpose-built for snow
• Lightweight pulk construction
• Smooth-gliding sled hull
• Rigid tow poles for control
• Natural skiing stride
• Designed for years of winter use

Converted Bike Trailer

• Higher passenger position
• More weight to pull
• Larger frontal area and snow drag
• Originally designed around wheels
• More cumbersome on climbs and narrow trails

EXPEDITION-BRED CONSTRUCTION

The KinderShuttle uses the same fundamental material philosophy found throughout Wilderness Engineering's expedition pulks, adapted for carrying children.

XLPE Hull

Cross-linked polyethylene is tough, impact resistant, and remains flexible in extreme cold. It creates a durable sled body and a substantial barrier between your child and the snow.

Chromoly Tow System

Rigid chromoly steel poles keep the sled positioned behind you and provide positive control when turning or descending.

Structural Canopy Frame

The chromoly canopy frame maintains the shape of the passenger compartment and provides structure around the child.

Weather Canopy

An enclosed fabric canopy with a clear roll-away windscreen protects against wind and blowing snow while maintaining visibility.

ROOM FOR THE DAY

More than 2,000 cubic inches of storage gives you space for:

• Extra layers
• Blankets
• Snacks
• Diapers
• Water
• Toys
• Trail gear

When the day is over, the KinderShuttle breaks down to approximately 45" × 22" × 8" for transportation and storage.

COMPLETE SYSTEM

Everything you need to start exploring is included.

• XLPE sled hull
• Chromoly tow poles
• Adjustable waist harness
• Padded passenger seat
• Five-point harness rated to 60 lb
• Infant car-seat positioning straps
• Weather canopy
• Clear roll-away windscreen
• Canopy frame
• Assembly hardware

GET OUTSIDE AGAIN

Having little kids doesn't have to mean putting winter adventures on hold.

Load them up, clip in, and keep going.

“Makes getting out on skis possible with little kids!” ★★★★★

“It kept me sane!” ★★★★★
— Kara B.

“Worth every penny.” ★★★★★

KinderShuttle in Action

XLPE Sled Hull

Chromoly Steel Poles

Built from high-grade 4130 chromoly steel. They weigh slightly more than aluminum alternatives, but the added strength and dependability are well worth it. If a pole is bent in the field, it can often be bent back into shape rather than failing outright.

Welded

Welded for a durable, dependable connection designed for years of hard use. The same class of steel is commonly used in roll cages and motorcycle frames.

Bent

The bend creates a yoke style pole system that improves sled handling, steering, and control while keeping the load centered behind the user.

Powder Coated

Our poles are finished with a baked-on powder coating for excellent resistance to chips, abrasion, and corrosion far more durable than ordinary paint.
